Emily Knew that the British forced General Greene to retreat. She liked to visit her Uncles family. When she got stopped she said she was going for a visit. The British wouldn’t likely suspect her. When she talked to General Greene  he said it was to dangerous. She was the only good one at delivering safety messages. She road all day in the cold weather, and drank from the clear spring water. This random guy let her stay at his cabin for the night. The people said be careful for the men in the woods. If she got up early they would probably know she was a Patriot. Before dawn she sneaked out of the house, and got her horse and, she galloped away. Then she heard horses! The soldiers stopped her! Finally they took her too Fort Granby.
